Shape the future of the MUN Circuit
Do you have what it takes to join the Secretariat of one of the world's most prestigious and global Model United Nations? See who we are looking for and apply today!
Deadline: 11.05.2025
How to apply?
Applicants must submit their CV and cover letter by email to secretarygeneral@limun.org.uk cc-ing dsg@limun.org.uk by Sunday, 11 May, 2025. Interviews will take place over the following weeks of May. Please indicate your availability for interviews in your email or cover letter. Successful applicants will receive notification of their outcome by the first week of June.
Applicants may apply for up to two positions, and the cover letter should be no longer than one page for both positions (if applicable). Please state in the cover letter which position is preferred. Applications should highlight any relevant experience (both MUN and non-MUN related), motivations for applying, and anything else that demonstrates your competence and commitment for the position. Applicants are expected to be enrolled in a UK university in the 25/26 Academic year - London-based applicants are prioritised, but this is by no means an essential criterion at all.
Secretariat members are expected to be able to commit to fortnightly in-person meetings in London during the first half of the tenure, and weekly in-person meetings during the second half. Most roles are expected to commit around 20 hours per week to their position, but there are busier and quieter periods depending on the role. While this does not mean successful applicants will only work during that time, it is provided to help you better plan your year when applying.
The LIMUN Foundation hopes that Secretariat members will be able to develop themselves both personally and professionally through such a large-scale project such as LIMUN. The Foundation will also offer other avenues to do so such as mentorship opportunities with the Board of Trustees, who work professionally and/or study across a wide range of sectors, including finance, politics, law, and research.
