We understand that preparing for MUN conferences, especially conferences as big as LIMUN, can get daunting for beginner and experienced delegates alike. We pride ourselves in offering the best possible academic experience for our delegates, and as such, the University Conference Secretariat has put together a series of guides that should help demystify the conference process. On this page, you will find our official and most authoritative set of rules governing the conduct of debate, called the LIMUN Rules of Procedure. You will also find a set of guides on producing high-impact written submissions and preparing for MUN debates through research.
Rules of Procedure (RoP)
The LIMUN Rules of Procedure (RoP) is the authoritative set of rules that governs every aspect of the debate experience at LIMUN. If at any time there is doubt about the procedure during the conference weekend, the procedure in the RoP document will be used.

Delegate Resources
To help our delegates prepare for our conference, vastly experienced LIMUN Secretariat members and chairs have pooled their knowledge and experience from attending MUN conferences in the UK and abroad to produce a set of free MUN instructional guides. The Delegate Research Guide will help you understand your committee topics before you attend the conference, giving you tips on how to research effectively and culminating your preparation with the production of a high-quality position paper.
Written Documents Guide
The Written Documents Guide will walk you through the different types of documents used during the conference weekend, like working papers and resolutions, and will give you tips that will help you produce written documents that make a positive impact to debate.
Document Templates
The position paper and draft resolution templates will provide you with the correct formatting and structure for you to get your thoughts onto paper.
