Meet the Secretariat

The LIMUN Foundation is a charity, and we rely on the talent and generosity of amazing student volunteers to deliver our two annual conferences.

In order to continue to deliver two conferences annually, we need the delegates of today to be sufficiently impacted by their experience so they too want to give back by volunteering in the future. If that’s you and you’re interested in joining a future Secretariat, send us an email - we’d be delighted to hear from you!

2024 Secretariat

  • Anthony Rawstron, LIMUN 2024 Secretary-General, UC

    Anthony Rawstron, Secretary-General

Anthony is a MSc Political Science (Global Politics) student at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Born in Venezuela and raised across South East Asia, he has recently completed a BSc in Politics and International Relations at LSE. His Model UN journey began in high school, and he has since served as LSE’s Model UN Director and Under-Secretary-General for Academics at LIMUN 2023; while also chairing a wealth of other conferences. He is incredibly honoured to serve as LIMUN’s 25th Secretary-General and looks forward to putting on a spectacular experience, marking a quarter-century of the conference.

Outside of Model UN, Anthony has worked within the world of Public Affairs and Communications, providing him with a steady stream of nonsense from Westminster. He also enjoys cycling around London or running (weather permitting), talking politics, singing in the LSE choir and socialising with friends in the seemingly endless number of pubs in the city.

  • Joaquin Magno, LIMUN 2024, Deputy Secretary-General

    Joaquin Magno, Deputy Secretary-General

Joaquin is a third year International Relations BA student at King’s College London. As a Filipino from Hong Kong, now living in the United Kingdom, he is eager to work with a diversity of people and opportunities within London’s highly global environment. Although his Model United Nations journey began in 2017, he had the privileges of serving as a chair at LIMUN 2022, and as the Under-Secretary-General for Personnel at LIMUN 2023. He strongly looks forward to creating an incredible experience for all people who hope to participate in the LIMUN community, and to commemorating LIMUN’s 25th anniversary.

Outside of MUN, Joaquin tries to live a laid back lifestyle. He particularly enjoys running in London’s many parks and canals, going to pubs and restaurants with friends, enjoying the beach when he can, and playing electric guitar - specifically 1980s heavy metal. He is very excited to meet you all at LIMUN 2024!

  • Kelvin Ng, Under-Secretary-General for Academics

Kelvin is a third year BSc Politics and International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He was raised in Hong Kong but is now living in the United Kingdom. His MUN journey started in 2021 as part of TeamLSE, and has since chaired at LIMUN and LIMUN:HS in 2023 and a wealth of other conferences. He is also serving as Secretary-General at LSEMUN High School 2024. He is very much excited for LIMUN’s 25th anniversary and is very much looking forward to exhilarating and interactive debates along with the Chairing Team.

Outside of MUN, Kelvin has worked within the realm of Public Affairs and Administration, and has constantly traversed London’s streets on a Lime bike. He also enjoys singing in the LSE Choir and occasionally enjoying a Swedish fika with friends on the streets of Stockholm.

  • Hema Dabbara, Under-Secretary-General for Allocations

Hema is an MSc International Marketing and Consumer Psychology student at Queen Mary, University of London. Born and raised in Southern India, she has completed her BBA with a major in Marketing and a dual minor in Psychology and Entrepreneurship at Hult International Business School. Her Model UN journey began in middle school (due to it being mandatory). However, she has gained a keen passion for MUN and served as the Vice President of Hult MUN Society 2022/23, served as USG Communications for HultMUN 2022 and chaired various conferences over the past year. She is incredibly honoured to serve as Under-Secretary-General Allocations for LIMUN 2024 and make the 25th edition of the Conference memorable.

Outside of Model UN, Hema is looking forward to laying the foundations for a career in Marketing. She enjoys watching and playing various sports during her free time, particularly Cricket and Football. She is often found looking forward to her favourite concerts and visiting London's endless food markets. She is looking forward to building a remarkable conference experience for delegates.

  • Roshni Roy, Under-Secretary-General for Applications

Roshni is a third year European Studies BA student at King’s College London, currently on exchange at SciencesPo, Paris. Dabbling occasionally in the Indian MUN circuit, it was her time at the KCL UNA as Outreach Officer and Vice President that truly solidified her MUN journey. If half her heart lies with the society, LIMUN is the other. Having gone through the delegate, staff, and now secretariat pipeline, LIMUN and its people have been a constant for the last three years. She hopes to be able to give the same, warm, rich delegate experience at the core of the LIMUN experience, to this year’s faces.

In the sliver of time between university and MUN, Roshni enjoys good food, good cinema, language and photography. Much of her time now is spent making her French and Danish more comprehensible, and being disappointed by the Rugby World Cup. She looks forward to meeting all the delegates whose emails she’ll be responding to throughout the conference (promising to try and respond to everyone as early as possible), and hopes that they form core memories and friendships at LIMUN’s 25th year.

  • Ruveen Abeysuriya, Under-Secretary-General for Chairing

Ruveen is a BSc Architecture student from the University of Bath, currently working as a Part 1 Architectural Assistant at Donald Insall Associates. Originally from Sri Lanka, Ruveen was introduced to a very aggressive (and very fun) style of Model UN at 14 years old, and has since gathered a plethora of delegate, chairing and secretariat experience, both in South Asia and in the UK. He was elected the Chair of Bath University Model United Nations for 2021/2022, and has previously chaired LIMUN in UNESCO and NATO. Ruveen’s MUN journey of eight years is finally coming to an end with what he hopes will be a very successful LIMUN 2024.

Outside of MUN (if there really is such a thing), Ruveen works on getting his architect licence so that he can finally live that HIMYM lifestyle. He spends the rest of his free time being a wide-eyed tourist around London, since he only moved here from Bath this year. While most of his time will be spent taking care of his LIMUN UC 2024 chairing cohort, Ruveen will be very easy to spot at socials so do not hesitate to go say hi!

  • Alvin Ho, Under-Secretary-General for Communications

Alvin is a third-year BSc Business & Management student at King's College, London. Born in Hong Kong, he arrived in London for the very first time when he started University and has quickly fallen in love ever since (minus the food). Although he is new to the MUN scene, This opportunity represents an exciting new chapter in his journey, one that he is eager to embark upon with enthusiasm and dedication. LIMUN 2024 will be a year of growth, collaboration, and impact. Alvin is absolutely honoured to be part of the committee and meet everyone involved!

Outside of his commitment to LIMUN, Alvin is an avid lover of the world of Fashion and the Arts. Incredibly inspired by the work of Alexander McQueen and John Galliano (particularly in his time at Dior), he has strong ambitions of pursuing a career in the industry. He is diligently working on his couture fashion brand, "House of Alvin," which promises to be a blend of innovation and fantasy.

  • Phia Li, Under-Secretary-General for Finance

Phia is a second year BSc Economics student at the University of Bath. Originating from “sunny sunny” Manchester, she is full of pride for the British culture that LIMUN displays. Although her MUN journey only began 2 years ago, she has truly fallen in love with what makes MUN so great. The blend of collaborative negotiation, intense debate and of course meeting some of the best friends you will ever make.

In the rare instance she is not dedicating her time to MUN, Phia enjoys both modern and NES Tetris, watching old British comedies and critiquing movies at ridiculous times in the morning. The socials are truly where the culture of both London and LIMUN shine, and she looks forward to meeting everyone there!

  • Ainhoa Comino, Under-Secretary-General for Logistics

Ainhoa is a third year Bachelors of Business Administration student at Hult International Business School, pursuing a major in Management and a minor in Psychology. Having been born and raised in Madrid, Spain, she moved to the United Kingdom to begin her university studies and, coincidentally, her MUN journey. Ever since, she has served as President of the Hult MUN Society in 2022/2023 and as HultMUN’s 2nd Secretary General; and this year, she is eager to be Under-Secretary-General for Logistics for LIMUN 2024. She feels truly privileged to have the opportunity to make the 25th anniversary of LIMUN a special and memorable one.

Outside of MUN, she lives a parallel life, having worked in the sports industry and being a huge sports fan. She can often be found in the pool, practising synchronised swimming or at a Real Madrid game (mostly UCL). She also enjoys going out with friends - especially to Spanish night clubs, travelling around the world, and eating good food (not British). She highly recommends everyone to watch out for socials… you know what is coming ;)

  • Tereza Jelínková, Under-Secretary-General for Personnel

Tereza is a final year Languages and International Relations student at the University of Greenwich, originally from the Czech Republic. She moved to the United Kingdom in 2020, where she survived navigating the first year at University and also established a popular Czech&Slovak Society. At LIMUN 2023, she worked as a Support Staff, and her first-hand experience enables her to work as the USG Personnel this year. She is ready to bring Global Ambassadors and Support Staff together and deliver a conference where everyone feels like a part of the community.

In her free time, Tereza speaks 4 languages, bakes, explores London and watches Interior Design Masters, which often leads to changes in her household. She is passionate about communication and community engagement and really excited to meet you all at LIMUN 2024.
