Raed is 2nd-year student, studying Economics at UCL. Originally from Pakistan, he's been involved in Model UN for the last 3 years. His MUN journey started when he joined his A level's MUN team. Since then, he's attended 10 different MUN conferences in countries like the U.K., USA, and Pakistan. His passion for MUN lies mainly in the public speaking aspect and the fact that it gives delegates an excuse to wear suits. Raed's interest in finance stems from his degree content, and his desire to enter the world of banking. AS USG for Finance, his main role is to keep track of LIMUN: HS's cash flows, create the budget for the conference and reach out to sponsors & partners. Having attended the LIMUN 2020 University Conference, Raed looks forward to taking part in conducting a similar high-quality conference in 2021. For him, Model UN taught him how to get out of his comfort zone, and instilled an unwavering sense of confidence within him. It’s taught him multiple life skills such as time management, negotiating, and uniting people over a common cause. Through LIMUN HS, he looks forward to instilling similar qualities amongst the best and the brightest! Outside of MUN, he has two main hobbies - playing the guitar and helping people get into university. The first activity allows him to be creative and calms him down, while the latter allows him to give back to society! Fun fact about him: he has fallen asleep in committee sessions way too many times.
