LIMUN 2020 Secretary-General Recruitment

Applications are open for the post of Secretary-General of the 21st session of the London International Model United Nations, LIMUN 2020.

Previous MUN experience is required. They will need to be based in London

The Secretary-General will recruit and lead the organising team of the conference, maintain overall responsibility for delivery of the event and report periodically to the LIMUN Foundation's Board of Trustees.

The role calls for a diligent, self-motivated and collaborative individual. They will be wholly responsible for shaping their vision for the conference and working with their secretariat to deliver this. The role also involves working within a plan and timeline to ensure tasks are completed well and in time, budgeting for the conference and ensuring the financial health of the event, ensuring logistics and academic aspects are well covered as well as advertising the event to schools and other pertinent institutions while maintaining good and productive relations with existing partners. The aim for the conference is to encourage participation from children from a wide diversity of backgrounds.

Candidates with proposals that highlight how to develop stronger relationships with different stakeholders, as well plans to increase delegate participation and ideas for how MUN can be repurposed and better marketed for the future will be favourably looked upon




The London International Model United Nations (LIMUN) is an annual three-day Model United Nations conference in London, United Kingdom. Taking place every February since 2000, LIMUN has established itself as one of Europe’s largest such conferences at university-level, bringing together over 1500 students – with some high school students and recent graduates – to deliberate on issues of global concern. It is organised by students from the various colleges of the University of London and other London-based universities.
